
Ingredients
Dough:
2.5 cups flour (preferably all-purpose)
1 teaspoon instant yeast
3/4 cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the sauce:
1 cup grated or juiced tomatoes (fresh or canned)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
A pinch of salt + a pinch of sugar + a pinch of black pepper + a pinch of oregano
For the topping:
1 can of tuna, drained of oil
½ cup sliced black or green olives
Grated mozzarella cheese (optional)
Oregano or dried basil for garnish
How to prepare
Preparing the Dough:
1-In a bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm water and leave for 5–10 minutes until the dough activates.
2-Add the flour, salt, and oil, and begin kneading until a soft, non-sticky dough is formed.
3-Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour (until doubled in size).
Preparing the Sauce:
1-In a pan over medium heat, heat the olive oil and add the garlic until wilted.
2-Add the tomatoes, salt, sugar, and oregano, and cook for 10 minutes until thickened.
Preparing the Pizza:
1-Preheat the oven to 220–250°C.
2-Roll out the dough into a circle and place it on a tray or pizza stone.
3-Spread the sauce over the top, then add the cheese, tuna, and olives.
4-Sprinkle a little oregano over the top.
5-Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the sides are browned and the cheese is melted.
